Early morning fog in San Diego Bay

PREPARATION

Our journey begins at the Harbor Island Yacht Club located at the Sundowner Marina in San Diego, California. This is my 7th trip up the coast to Santa Catalina Island. There are 6 other yachts that will be coming with us this year.

Our plan this year is to moor for the night in Dana Point and then depart early the following morning for Catalina Island.

Keary boarded the boat on Sunday and began preparations for an early departure. There was a slight breeze coming out of the west, 70% humidity and some fog rolling into the bay.
